The Great Dane loves home and family above all, with a stable temperament and a sweet attitude. He is big and strong, but he is very sensitive and needs to be by your side. The Dane wants to please you and he will if you are gentle and consistent in your handling of him. The Dane is very affectionate with the family (most Danes are dependable and devoted to children). He is good with the people he knows but may be aloof with strangers until he knows them better. The Dane is courageous and protective and does fine with other animals.

My name is Susan Davis Shaw and I have been owning, training and exhibiting harlequins and mantles for over thirty years in breed and obedience. I conduct appropriate health testing before breeding and only breed quality representatives of the breed, sound in body and mind. My goal is to improve my dogs with each generation. I only breed occasionally and those wishing a Davisdane pup may have to be patient until a puppy is available. My pets always go home on spay and neuter agreements and I rarely ship a puppy.
